The Smart Generation reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept, decline, or limit your order for any reason, whether or not your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has been charged and your order is canceled you will receive a prompt refund credit to your account. Price and availability of Software and other products and services offered on The Smart Generation are subject to change without prior notice. To the extent we provide information on availability of Software or other products, you should not rely on such information. When a purchase has occurred, Smart Generation does not store the Credit Card or Banking Card information. This procedure is the responsibility of 3rd party organization, named 2CheckOut (visit: http://www.2checkout.com). We are in contract with them. After the purchase they notify us about the result of credit card processing.
First of all, the credit card processing of 2CheckOut does not happen immediately. 2CheckOut needs few hours to review the banking information. Earlier has happened that someone used false credit card. So, we decided to commit the transaction later, when we are sure about its validity.
From Smart Generation point of view it looks like as follows: when the customer request a purchase an email generates which will be sent to Smart Generation, to customer who requested a purchase and to developer whose product will be sold. This mail contains information about the purchase. But it is not sure that the transaction has passed. The role of this mail is to prove our honesty. We're sharing every moment of purchase from the beginning until the commit.
The registration code (RPN, Pool model, Shareware URL) will be generated after the successful commit. Also, in case of simple shareware model, the customer has to send his code when he received the mail about successful commit.
In case of failed transaction the customer and the developer also are notified about unsuccessful transaction.
Some other portal works like they commit the transaction without reviewing it. In these cases can happen that after a few days they are notifying developers about refund. Exactly it is not a refund. It causes that few days later they get notification from their bank about unsuccessful transaction.
So, at our sites after a few hours from the purchase request you can be 100% sure about its validity. |
